First time going down the hydro slide in Gisborne

 When your just a little kid the hydro slide looks a million miles high.

I was only 6 years old but my sister's 11. It didn't look scary to her because she is so tall compared to me. 

I thought I'll never be able to do it even if I lived to be a trillion years old. I wouldn't even of done it if my sister didn't say she would give me some her lollies, so I decided to do it. 

So I was next in line for the hydro slide my body trembling but did it for the lollies. Sliding through the long winding slide, colours racing all around me, rocking side to side as I flip off my matt and landed on my back head first.

When I flew out the end I was so relieved because when your just a little kid the hydro slide looks a million miles high.

Service Poster

Today we learnt about service and made a poster about it because our value of the term is service.

I enjoyed creating the poster because we could add lots of different things to to do with service.

Mood Rings

 Mood Rings change different colours depending on your mood the colours are

Violet happy/romantic

Blue Calm/relaxed

Green natural

Yellow tense/excited

Brown nervous/anxious

Mood rings featured fake gemstones made by glass or quartz. The glass/quartz 'stones' were mostly hollow shells filled with liquid crystals. these special crystals were thermochromic which means they would change colour in response to changes to the temperature in your body or the air.
